29th annual Torrey Pines Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament will be held the week after Christmas 2018.

Every Summer, John Olive leads Basketball Camps for youth through high school level players. The camp is designed for children and young adults to have fun learning the game of basketball. For more information, visit:
John Olive grew up in New Jersey and played college basketball at Villanova University, where he graduated in 1977. Olive was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the eighth round of the 1977 NBA draft. He played in the NBA for the San Diego Clippers from 1978 through 1980. Olive was an assistant coach at Villanova (1985 NCAA Champions) under Rollie Massimino from 1985-1992. In 1992, he became head coach at Loyola Marymount, where he served for five seasons. Olive has been head coach for the boys basketball team at Torrey Pines High School since 1996.

Jonathan Moore starts his 23rd season as the Boys JV Basketball Head Coach as well as being the Assistant Coach for the Varsity Basketball team. Coach Moore has been fortunate enough to have amassed a JV won loss record of 528-97, winning 85% of his games. The JV Falcons have won 10 league titles under Coach Moore who is also our Girls Varsity Softball Head Coach.Coach Moore who teaches Physical Education at Torrey Pines, has a daughter and lives in Oceanside.
Born in San Jose, California, Coach Allard attended Archbishop Mitty High School and graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2009. He went on to get his Masters in Athletic Administration and Coaching from Concordia University. He worked in the athletic department at UC San Diego before moving on to coaching. Clark served as Varsity Assistant and JV Head Coach at The Bishop's School in La Jolla for two years before coming to Torrey Pines High School. Clark was the Freshman Head Coach his first year at Torrey, and has been a Varsity Assistant Coach every year since then.
Tanner McEntee is from Del Mar, CA. He played two years of varsity basketball at TPHS for Coach Olive and graduated in 2008. As a player during that time, the team won two Palomar League Titles. Tanner went on to play basketball for four years at Endicott College in the Boston area, a career that included a conference championship in 2012. Tanner graduated with a degree in Sports Management and a minor in Business Administration in 2012. After coaching the JV basketball team at the San Diego Jewish Academy, Tanner joined the TPHS staff in the 2014-2015 season as the Freshman Head Coach, as well as being an assistant coach for the JV and Varsity teams.
Nick Diaz is entering his 4th year as an Assistant Coach, working with Freshman, JV, & Varsity. He is a Torrey Pines alum who graduated in 2010 after playing 2 years for Coach Olive. Nick was part of 2 league championship teams and and CIF Runner-Up. After TP, he graduated with a Sociology degree in 2014 from the University of Oregon.
After retiring from private practice in 2000 Doc volunteered to become coach Olive's board man. Seventeen years later he is still handing over the clipboard to coach and enjoying giving his life lessons and thoughts to the Falcon players. Admitting his basketball IQ is still limited his life quotes and insights are still enjoyed by the team.
